The newsreader, who recently moved from the Kyle and Jackie O Show to join Hamish Blake and Andy Lee's drivetime slot, was rumoured to have quit his job because he was sick of hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O playing pranks on him.
A statement from the Austereo network reads: "Contrary to... reports, Geoff Field did not quit. Austereo's decision to move Geoff from his role on the breakfast show was due to reasons that shall remain confidential and not the result of workplace bullying.
"Listeners of the Kyle And Jackie O Show understand the on-air banter and exchanges are part of the theatre of the show."
However, another industry insider insisted to The Daily Telegraph that Field was "fed up and finally decided not to take it anymore".
