Scott Mills was forced to stand in for the presenter, who is currently in New York waiting for air travel to return to normal. Writing on his official Twitter page, Moyles wrote the single word "stuck".
Speaking about the events, he said: "It's weird because life is going on as normal here, just like at home. It's quite nice in a way because loads of British people are bonding over the fact that we're all stuck here together."
Other celebrities who have been affected by the grounding of flights include Heather Mills, who is in Austria on holiday, Miley Cyrus, who cannot attend a UK premiere of her new movie, and Michael Flatley, who has cancelled a UK press conference about his latest dance project.
