Ofcom has received almost 1,500 complaints about controversial incidents which have aired on Sky News in the past week.

The channel's political editor Adam Boulton has recently been criticised for losing his temper during an on-air discussion with former Labour spin doctor Alastair Campbell.

The row followed a previous storm surrounding Afternoon Live anchor Kay Burley over the way she conducted an interview with political campaigner David Babbs last Saturday.

According to The Guardian, as of this morning, 696 viewers had contacted Ofcom to complain about Boulton's outburst, while 722 had been in touch about Burley.

The media regulator is also currently investigating viewer concern over the way Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg was treated by Boulton in the second general election debate, which aired on Sky News.
