Ferrari wins two Arqiva Radio awards

Ferrari, who recently missed out at the Sony Radio Academy awards despite earning five nominations, was given Arqiva's 'Gold Award' in recognition of his contribution to radio over the last year.
His LBC 97.3 show also scooped 'Breakfast Show Of The Year', beating strong competition from the Absolute Radio breakfast show and the Steve And Karen Breakfast Show on Galaxy North East.
Absolute Radio picked up two awards, with Geoff Lloyd winning 'Presenter Of The Year' for stations broadcasting to over 1 million people. Absolute's chief operating officer Clive Dickens also won 'Programmer Of The Year'.
However, Bauer Media was the big winner on the night with five awards in total, including 'Station Of The Year' (broadcasting to over 1m people) for Hallam FM.
'Journalist/News Team Of The Year' went to the news team at Real Radio North West.
'Digital Station Of The Year' was given to FunKids and Take That were named the most played UK artist on commercial radio.
All awards were presented by Absolute Radio's Christian O'Connell during a ceremony at the Westminster Bridge Park Plaza in central London.
