The promotion, airing across ITV channels from the Bank Holiday weekend, uses state-of-the-art compositing tools to unite the stars from all eras - including those deceased - at a glitzy gala party. Many of ITV's own staff also appear as guests at the party.
Two versions of the promo have been produced, lasting one and two minutes respectively; both are set to the "lively, up-lifting" sound of Basement Jaxx's 'Do Your Thing'.
"This was a uniquely ambitious project," said Clare Salmon, director of marketing at ITV. "I am delighted that we have been able to do justice to the breadth and excitement of ITV’s programming using leading edge technology to reanimate past programme icons alongside present day stars."
