From July 11, the 'Never Gonna Give You Up' singer will front the Summer Soundtrack programme every Sunday between 2pm and 4pm. The show will also be temporarily renamed as Rick Astley's Summer Selection.
Astley will take over from fellow pop singer Ronan Keating, who has decided to take a temporary break from show. His initial contract will run for eight weeks, but could be extended.
Speaking to Rickastley.co.uk, Astley said: "I am delighted to be joining Magic 105.4 over the summer.
"This will be my first time in the hot seat as a radio DJ and I'll be playing my top tracks from today, my favourite hits from the '80s and the songs that influenced my music when I was growing up. This is a really exciting opportunity and I can't wait to play my summer soundtrack on Magic 105.4."
Magic FM 105.4 programme director Pete Simmons added: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Rick Astley to the presenter line up on Magic 105.4.
"We've always played his legendary 80s songs, and are now supporting his great new material on air.
"He knows the music world inside out so his new show, Rick Astley's Summer Selection, will most definitely be entertaining as well as playing the best music for London."
Rick Astley's Summer Selection will feature two hours of interviews and music every Sunday. It will immediately follow Kim Wilde's four-hour Secret Songs programme.
