The firm behind Dublin's new local channel is hoping to export the model to other European markets.
City Channel, which launched via NTL last week, will first pursue a plan of extending its footprint across Ireland before making a continental voyage.
"We're looking to partner with cable companies overseas to see if we can make this work," channel founder David Harvey told C21. "We'd like to work with someone like UGC but we've also had discussions with partners working on an individual basis."
Meanwhile, the channel has announced a raft of new acquisitions, including property show Living Famously, motoring magazine Fifth Gear and New Zealand soap Breakers.
