Oona King and Rachel Whetstone are to join Sky News as special correspondents for its new nightly 7pm show.
Former Labour MP King, ousted by George Galloway in the recent election, and Whetstone, Michael Howard's former political secretary, will appear most Friday evenings on The Sky Report, to be anchored by Julie Etchingham.
The pair will review the week's news and culture, as well reporting on special projects for the programme.
"I am delighted that two such politically astute individuals have decided to join Sky News at a moment when we are making significant changes to the way 24-hour news is covered," said Nick Pollard, head of Sky News. "They will provide viewers of our flagship 7pm show with thought-provoking political insight."
The new-look Sky News launches this Monday (October 24).
