TV channel planned for the Balearics

A new Spanish TV channel aimed at the Balearic islands of Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca will launch at the end of 2006, C21 reported today.
Mallorcan Television, broadcasting in Catalan, will go to air on September 12, 2006 to a potential audience of around a million viewers.
Meanwhile, the Council of Mallorca has also approved the establishment of new corporation Radio i Televisio de Mallorca.
