Endemol shares up in first-day trading

Shares in Big Brother producers Endemol rose during their first day of trading on Euronext Amsterdam.
Endemol's parent company Telefonica sold shares equating to a 22.3% stake in the company to institutional investors for €9 each. That price was towards the lower end of expectations for the Initial Public Offering.
Shortly after the shares made their debut on the Amsterdam market, they rose to €9.20. During the day, they hit a high of €9.59 but retreated to €9.33 by the close of trade at 17:30 CET.
