ITV has been presented with the International Emmy Directorate Award for 50 years of "excellence in commercial broadcasting in the United Kingdom."
Helen Mirren presented the award to ITV CEO Charles Allen at a star-studded ceremony hosted by Graham Norton in New York on Monday night.
The Directorate Award is given to companies "for their outstanding contributions, over a period of time, to the arts and sciences of international television," according to the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Other winners at the International Emmys included Oprah Winfrey, who was presented with the Founders Award for "her international broadcast career and her philantrophic initiatives."
"This year’s winners are representative of the growing excellence in worldwide programming and the Academy is proud to be the platform for recognising outstanding achievement in the international television community," said IATAS president and CEO Bruce Paisner.
