Man Utd brings Champions League high for ITV1

ITV1 scored its best ratings for a Champions League group game in three years on Tuesday, according to early figures.
Coverage of Manchester United's goalless draw with Villarreal averaged 5.82 million viewers, a 24.7% share of the audience, between 7.30pm and 9.45pm. The match peaked with 7.8 million (34%) at 9.30pm.
I'm A Celebrity, pushed back to a later 9.45pm slot, dropped to 6.86 million (32.5%) over 45 minutes, but was still good enough to rank fourth place for the day.
BBC One's EastEnders ranked first with 10.78 million (47.1%), easily topping ITV1's Emmerdale, which had 8.39 million (39.5%).
Holby City placed first in the 8pm hour with 7.01 million (29%) while Channel 4's Property Ladder descended to 2.72 million (11.3%). BBC Two's Dragons' Den had 2.35 million (9.7%) for fourth, leaving Five trailing with 1.22 million (5%) for Revealed: Boudica's Treasure.
New documentary series Shipmates made a mediocre start for BBC One at 9pm with an average of 4.62 million (20.2%), an increase of almost 1 million on the previous week. Five drew a solid 3.07 million (13.4%) for CSI: Miami and on Channel 4, Make Me a Million concluded with 1.42 million (6.2%). BBC Two's Making Slough Happy lost a third of its audience week-on-week, dropping to an embarrassing 0.89 million (3.9%).
Five held the lead at 10pm with 2.12 million (11.7%) for CSI: NY over BBC Two's Grumpy Old Women (1.42 million, 6.9%) and C4's The Ghost Squad (0.94 million, 5.3%).
Stargate SG-1 ranked as the most-watched original show of the day amongst the multichannels, drawing an albeit reduced 560,000 (3.3%) for Sky One in the 8pm hour. The 4400 improved to 320,000 (1.9%) an hour later but was trumped by Living TV's Most Haunted (374,000 + 183,000, 2.3%).
ITV2 put in strong performances with Eddie Murphy comedy Doctor Dolittle (457,000, 2.7%) and spinoff show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here - NOW! (559,000, 5.7%).
