The company is paying a total of £30 million for Ricochet, comprising an initial £25 million in cash, shares and loan notes and an extra £5 million dependent on performance in 2006-07.
Other shows in Ricochet's portfolio include Who Rules The Roost?, How Not To Decorate, It's Me Or The Dog and Risking It All. Supernanny also airs in the US, where it is currently in its second season on ABC.
"Ricochet is a truly quality company and a perfect fit for Shed," said Eileen Gallagher, CEO at Shed. "It has a talented, driven management team that has built a broad range of high quality entertainment and factual programmes and formats over the last 10 years."
Meanwhile, Shed has also announced that it has signed a deal with FX to develop a US version of Bad Girls.
