Trevor Dann to leave Radio Academy

In a statement today, Dann confirmed that he has agreed a deal with the cross-industry body's trustees to leave his post at the end of October.
The former BBC senior executive will join the Amazing Media Group, which owns and operates the national digital station Amazing Radio, in the role of managing director of broadcast.
Dann has also been asked to produce a series of programmes for an unnamed broadcaster and become a visiting professor for an as-yet-unannounced university. He further said that he is "hoping to find time to write another book".
"I'll miss the Academy but I think four years is long enough away from programme-making," said Dann.
"And [BBC Radio 2 controller] Bob Shennan has asked me to carry on presenting our weekly podcast RadioTalk so I won't [be] severing my ties completely."
