Nigel Pickard, director of programmes at ITV, is expected to quit the network for a position at RDF Media this week.
Speculation mounted that Pickard would leave ITV after former Granada CEO Simon Shaps was appointed director of TV in September. In October, Pickard announced that he would stay at ITV, with analysts viewing it as a move to enable him to take credit for hits including The X Factor.
