Sky News unveils new video podcasts

Sky News launched a new video podcasting service today, enabling Sky News video to be viewed on various multimedia portable players including Apple's iPod.
The first programme to be delivered via podcast is 7 Days, which will give an overview of offbeat and lighter news stories of the week. Items from the Sky News video library and clips from Sunday Live will be also be available on the service soon.
"The launch of Sky News video podcasting follows the success of Sky Mobile TV in October last year," explained Steve Bennedik, editor of Sky News Interactive.
In addition to the video offerings, Sky News political editor Adam Boulton features in a weekly audio podcast looking at political developments in the week ahead.
