ITV has confirmed that its controllers of factual and comedy output are leaving the network.
The positions of Bridget Boseley and Sioned Wiliam have been merged into new "super director" roles by director of television Simon Shaps. Alison Sharman will take over from Boseley as director of daytime and factual, while Granada US chief Paul Jackson is rumoured to be in the running for the position of director of entertainment and comedy.
The news comes as part of Shaps' continuing restructuring of ITV's top management team. Reporting to Shaps will be three "super directors," with ITV drama director Nick Elliot completing the triumvirate.
