It was reported today that the BBC Radio 1 DJ has had "unofficial" talks with the company's chief executive Ashley Tabor, with whom The Mirror claims he is good friends.
The move could reportedly happen next year when the station goes nationwide.
A spokesperson for the commercial broadcaster told The Independent: "Global Radio is not in talks with Moyles at the moment, but we would fully understand the attraction of joining Capital FM as it goes national in early January."
The news comes several weeks after Moyles revealed that he had not been paid by the BBC in an on-air rant.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "Chris remains in contract with the BBC."
