Natasha Kaplinsky quits Channel 5 news

It had previously been reported that the newsreader would quit Five News when her current contract expires at the end of 2010. Kaplinsky became Britain's highest paid newsreader when she signed the deal in 2007.
The Guardian reports that her exit is "by mutual agreement".
The newspaper added that new Channel 5 owner Richard Desmond wants to revamp the news output, with a larger focus on entertainment thought to be on the cards.
