Radio DJ Steve Penk is to leave Capital after four-and-a-half years to join radio station Virgin.
"I've had a brilliant time at Capital but this has come at the right time for me," Penk said.
"I was looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to work for a high-profile and respected national commercial radio station."
He will replace Nick Abbot in the Virgin Drivetime slot, between 4pm and 7pm on weekday evenings.
A Capital spokeswoman said: "We wish Steve all the best. His contract was due for renewal in July and we had been in discussions.
"We were aware he had a number of offers from competitors. We will now develop a new weekend line-up for the autumn."
