Broadband video content from The Apprentice and other programming will feature prominently on BBC Two's new-look website, it was announced today.
"The broadband audience is becoming bigger and more demanding by the day, and our new-look website is designed to make the most of the fluid mix of video and text that users increasingly expect," said BBC Two controller Roly Keating. "I believe it has the potential to transform our relationship with the audience, bringing them closer to the channel than ever before and offering ways to engage with our programmes that were impossible in the narrowband age. Our exciting trial with The Apprentice is the perfect starting-point for this journey of discovery."
All video made available on the BBC Two site will only be available to users in the UK. Content from The Apprentice will include watch-again functionality for recent episodes, highlight clips, and spoiler clips for future episodes. Video content from the Winter Olympics, The Culture Show, Timewatch, Family Guy, American Dad, Newsnight and Working Lunch will appear on the revamped website in the coming weeks.
