The pair, who will replace comedy duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, will initially take over the 4 to 6pm slot from Monday to Thursday only, so that Blake and Lee can still host their Friday show.
Lund told AAP: "We've all known each other for years so it feels like a natural progression.
"People talk about it as a big job but it doesn't feel that way because we'll be joining Hamish and Andy in one big share house. It's the first hybrid drive show that's ever existed and it's likely to get a bit wild."
Box added: "Radio has been a dream of mine since I left school and to think it keeps getting better is amazing and I keep pinching myself.
"We're all close friends, in fact I'm crashing Hamish's Christmas in New York with his girlfriend, so to bring it into the studio and share the shift just means we can spend more time with our mates."
