Reality TV has confirmed plans to launch a spinoff channel on February 28.
The 24-hour station, 'Reality Extra', will have a particular focus on real-life enactment programmes such as Rescue 911 and Exhibit A. Movies will also feature in regular 11am and 3pm slots.
"The ongoing growth and demand for our Reality TV and Reality TV +1 channels has given us the impetus to launch an additional and expanded Reality TV service," said Chris Wronksi, chairman of channel operator Zone Vision Networks. "As the audiences for reality programming continue to rise around the world, we are delighted to be able to provide a number of channels dedicated to this diverse and well-loved genre."
Reality Extra will initially be available via satellite only.
