TNA Wrestling has secured a return to UK television screens after Sky confirmed plans to move the former Bravo programme to Challenge.

Earlier in the month, Sky announced a reshuffle of its entertainment content lineup in response to the closure of Bravo, including Spartacus: Blood And Sand moving to Sky1.

The broadcaster confirmed that other selected Bravo shows would also find a new home on Sky, including Leverage, Dog The Bounty Hunter, Star Trek, TNA Wrestling, Sun, Sea And A & E, Motorway Patrol, Highway Patrol and Caribbean Cops.

According to the Daily Star, the Challenge channel will become the new home of TNA Wresting in the UK from February. Challenge will also air all TNA programming missed by UK viewers after Bravo's closure.

TNA president Dixie Carter said: "I am so happy to announce that all TNA programming in the UK will be on Challenge TV from February on Sky, Virgin and now Freeview too!"

In a statement, a Sky spokesperson added: "TNA fans, good news - TNA will be returning to Sky! From February, all TNA programming will be on Challenge. Plus, we'll be showing all the episodes you've missed. We'll announce exact timings soon."

Sky acquired Bravo, Challenge, Virgin1 and Living in its £160 million deal to buy Virgin Media's television business last year. Sky shut down Bravo on January 1 and will close Channel One (previously Virgin1) from February, replacing it on Freeview with Challenge.

From February 1, Challenge will be available on Freeview Channel 46, Sky channel 125 and Virgin Media channel 139.
