On March 31 at midnight, ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 were withdrawn from UPC's cable television service in Ireland.
UPC said that it could not agree a new carriage deal with ITV because the broadcaster had entered into exclusive agreements with other channel providers for content featured on the channels.
In a statement, UPC said: "To reassure UPC customers, we expect the top programmes contained in ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 will continue to be available on TV3/3e [in Ireland]. In addition, UPC is planning to launch a number of new channels shortly."
ITV is actively seeking more ways to monetise its content and channels as the broadcaster attempts to reduce its dependency on the television advertising market.
Last August, ITV announced its first move into pay television with the launch of high definition versions of ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 exclusively on Sky.
