Claudia Rosencrantz has been named as the successor to Richard Woolfe at Living TV.
The industry heavyweight, who quit as ITV's controller of entertainment in December after ten years at the broadcaster, will take up her new role in June.
As director of programmes, Rosencrantz will take charge of Living TV's overall programming strategy, in addition to spinoff channel Living TV 2 and Freeview channel Ftn.
"I am incredibly proud that Claudia has chosen to come and work with us at Living TV," said Flextech MD Laura Opie, to whom Rosencrantz will report. "She joins an incredibly driven and passionate team."
Others on the shortlist for the job had included Ben Frow, controller of features and entertainment at Five; Heather Jones, MD of Paramount Comedy and Daniella Neumann, former head of programmes at ITV2 and ITV3.
Woolfe left the channel in January to head up Sky One.
