Donny Osmond has joined Oldham radio station 96.2 The Revolution as a presenter, it has been announced.

The singer previously hosted the syndicated Donny Osmond Show, which airs on Southampton's The Breeze station in the UK.

Station director Steve Penk confirmed the appointment, saying: "The show will be specifically for us, and with Manchester very much in mind.

"Donny is excited about it because he's got very fond memories of Manchester because of The Osmonds and all the times they've toured here. Manchester remains one of their loyalist fanbases.

"And there's an interesting statistic that he has more members of his fan club in Manchester than any other major city in Europe."

The show will air on Saturdays from 10am, starting on April 16.

Last year, Osmond and his sister Marie performed a Christmas show together on Broadway.
