Matthew Johns has boosted the ratings of a radio show.
The Australian sports star, who joined Mark Geyer and Gus Worland on the hosting panel of Triple M's The Grill earlier this year, has been credited with increasing listeners by 0.6%.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the station scored the highest jump in breakfast radio stations of all Sydney broadcasters
Johns said: "Mate, I'm not taking any credit for it. I've only been on for a month, so if I take the credit now I'll have to take the blame if we fall in the next survey."
His co-presenter Geyer said: "Matt has brought something completely new to the show and I love him."
Johns quit his role as the presenter of The Footy Show in 2009 after admitting that he took part in a group sex session with a 19-year-old woman and various rugby teammates in 2002. The woman was later diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and Johns had to publicly apologise to his family for the "anguish" he had caused.
