The comedy actor, who is best known for playing the title role in long-running sitcom Frasier, agreed to be the keynote speaker at this year's Aussie broadcasting event on the Gold Coast on October 14.
Grammer will talk about the power of speech at the conference and will later present an award at the ceremony in his first trip to Australia.
Previous guest speakers at the event have included chatshow host Sir Michael Parkinson, film critic Clive James, Fawlty Towers star John Cleese, comedian Barry Humphries and musician Sir Bob Geldof.
Grammer is currently locked in a custody battle with ex-wife Camille over their two children, 9-year-old Mason and 6-year-old Jude. He recently described the process as a "long, drawn-out thing" and said that it would be more "unpleasant" for Camille than him.
Kelsey wed girlfriend Kayte Walsh in February of this year. It was his fourth marriage.
The Australian Radio Conference will be held on October 14 on the Gold Coast, with the awards to follow a day later.
