The Radio 1 DJ told Alan Carr on the Chatty Man set that O'Leary's show on sister station Radio 2 is difficult to listen to, according to The Mirror.
"When Dermot is on I think my radio's broken," the breakfast show host said. "I start turning the volume up because he's so laid back, he's practically fallen asleep."
Moyles also branded veteran DJ, Steve Wright, "completely weird", adding: "That Steve Wright is completely crackers, totally nuts.
"Don't get me wrong, he's great at what he does, but proper bonkers - utterly bonkers. Loopy."
Carr, himself a Radio 2 DJ, criticised Moyles's comments about Radio 2 by insisting: "You think we just play Shania Twain."
Moyles was recently nominated for 'Best Entertainment Programme' and 'Music Radio Personality Of The Year' at the Sony Radio Academy Awards 2011. O'Leary was also nominated for 'Best Music Programme', but both Moyles and O'Leary lost out on the night's Gold Awards.
