UKTV has unveiled a Summer slate comprising 660 hours of new programming at its first ever network season launch.
The lineup is mainly weighted towards original commissions, including chat series Wogan: Now And Then (10x60') for UKTV Gold, Ricky Tomlinson's The Shirts of ’66 (6x30') and Bill Oddie's In My Famous Family (5x60').
On UKTV Food, Good Food Live has been commissioned for a further 220 hours, while Food Uncut has been picked up for 220 half hours. Around 200 hours of World Cup programming will air on UKTV G2 this summer under a previously announced deal with the BBC.
US imports include Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (28x60') and crime series In Justice (13x60').
“Over the last 12 months, we’ve been working closely with independent producers and talent to help re-appraise our archive content and to create new and exclusive programming for the network," said John Keeling, COO of UKTV. "I believe our summer’s line up has all the hallmarks of being a great hit.”
