The series, titled Killer Queen, will also air on sister stations Absolute 80s and Absolute Classic Rock from August 15.
A two-part documentary with exclusive interviews with Brian May and Roger Taylor will broadcast on Absolute Radio on August 22-23.
May and Taylor will discuss how their material was recorded and their influence on modern bands. The show will also feature contributions from the likes of Keane's Tom Chaplin, Dave Stewart and comedian Rhys Thomas.
Absolute Classic Rock will play tracks from Queen's studio albums all week, along with competitions and live shows ahead of the documentaries.
Absolute Radio is also working in conjunction with the Mercury Phoenix Trust to raise awareness of the Freddie For A Day campaign on September 5.
Queen will reissue their last five studio albums later this year.
