Two stars from The Block's 2010 series have launched their radio careers.

53-year-old Mark and 45-year-old Duncan, who teamed up to compete in the Australian reality renovation show last year, said that they are looking forward to hosting new radio programme Un-Blocked on Sunday mornings.

The duo signed contracts for their new jobs two weeks ago and told Woman's Day magazine: "We're really thrilled."

Duncan also revealed that they get recognised everywhere they go, saying that they are spotted "every week".

"Good job I don't go out a lot. But look, I love it," he continued. "People come up and say how much they enjoyed the show. And I always said from the beginning, 'As long as we don't embarrass the kids!' Hopefully we didn't."

The pair described their time on The Block as "a great experience", adding: "I think we were a great age to go on it, because we were searching for something new after doing carpentry for 20-odd years. Our wives thought it was our mid-life crisis dealt with. And I guess it was."

This year's series of The Block was won by Polly Porter and Waz Jones when they were the only couple to sell their property during the grand finale auction.

The other three couples taking part later sold their renovated houses.
