Airing this Sunday in the US, one-hour documentary iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed The World will explore how Jobs helped transform the way we work, watch movies, listen to music and socialise with products such as the iPod, iPhone and iPad.
Hosted by Mythbusters stars Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, the programme will feature interviews with people affected by Jobs's life and career, including Daniel Kottke, who travelled to India with the technology innovator and later became an Apple employee.
There will be a contribution from John Draper, the engineer who gave Jobs his first start in the industry, along with journalists who followed his rollercoaster career and musicians such as Stevie Wonder and Pete Wentz who saw the music business changed by Jobs's inventions.
"Someone once said that to follow the path that others have laid before you is a very reasonable course of action, therefore all progress is made by unreasonable men," said Adam Savage.
"Steve Jobs was an unreasonable man. He didn't simply give the public what they wanted, he defined entirely new ways of thinking about our lives in the digital space: productivity, creativity, music, communication, media and art. He has touched, directly and indirectly, all of our lives."
After its world premiere on Discovery Channel US, iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed The World will premiere across Discovery's international portfolio of networks in more than 210 countries and territories around the world.
