Kate 'Monty' Dimond has become a mother for the first time.
The Australian radio personality, who is best known as the presenter of Nova Radio's networked show Saturday Morning Monty, welcomed son Baxter into the world at 7am on Tuesday (November 22) with partner Sam Cavanagh.
According to the Herald Sun, Dimond told friends: "Bax is heaven - I think I'm in love already."
Earlier this year, Dimond stopped presenting alongside Merrick Watts and Scott Dooley on Nova 96.9's weekday slots in Sydney, saying: "This is the perfect opportunity for me right now, to continue with Nova on my own national show and have lots of time for my new family."
Dimond took over from Ricki-Lee Coulter after she was axed from her radio role. She, in turn, was the replacement for former Home and Away star Kate Ritchie, who presented the show alongside Watts and his former on-air partner Tim Ross.
A number of Australian celebrities have welcomed new children in 2011. Celebrity chef Curtis Stone's partner Lindsay Price recently gave birth to son Hudson, while supermodel Kristy Hinze and husband Jim Clark named their baby daughter Dylan.
