Shop Radio will broadcast at radio channel 0184 on Sky's electronic programme for 22 hours a day, seven days a week from 6am to 4am. It can also be found on the web at www.shopradio.com.
This new radio station is the first of its kind in the UK, working in the same way as a shopping TV channel by showcasing a range of products, albeit without visuals.
Ed Hall, the chief executive of Canis Media, said that he developed the idea for Shop Radio almost a decade ago, but only recently found the right launch partner in WRN Broadcast.
"I have been looking for the right partner to launch Shop Radio for nearly ten years," he said.
"WRN Broadcast is a great distributor of radio stations, and a combination of our market knowledge and experience and WRNB's history in radio seems like a winning combination to me."
WRN Broadcast chief executive David Treadway added: "We are delighted to be leading an experiment in a new way of delivering content to customers. TV shopping is big business, why shouldn't it work on radio?"
