Stuart Murphy finds new job
Published Thursday, Aug 3 2006, 02:07 BST | By Neil Wilkes
Former BBC Three controller Stuart Murphy has joined Twofour as its new creative director.
Murphy originally left the BBC for Wife Swap producer RDF in January but quit suddenly three months later citing "unhappiness" in the role.
At Twofour - an indie that has produced factual entertainment shows such as Cruise With Stelios and Dead Famous - Murphy will work with an eight-strong development team on content in all genres, including drama, comedy, factual and format entertainment.
"I'm delighted to be joining Twofour - it feels like a creative sleeping giant," said Murphy. "It's got the infrastructure and the ambition to go for the big commissions, and the right staff to make them happen."
Murphy takes up the post on August 21 and will represent the company at the Edinburgh TV Festival the following weekend.
