Published Thursday, Aug 3 2006, 02:20 BST | By Neil Wilkes

The show stars John Simm as Sam Tyler, a young detective who wakes up in '70s Britain after being knocked down in a car accident. The first series drew over 7 million viewers to BBC One earlier this year.
“Life on Mars is the stand out drama series of 2006," said Jonathan Webb, Bravo's director of programmes. "It's a fantastic show – full of warmth and with great on screen chemistry."
Bravo plans to re-run the series in the Autumn, in advance of the second series airing on BBC One next January.
A US version of the show is also in development for ABC.
