Lottery gets its own studio as birthday present

The National Lottery is to broadcast from its own 'HQ' for the first time tomorrow (Saturday) to mark its 12th anniversary.
Lottery operator Camelot has teamed up with production company Endemol and transmission service provider Arqiva to put together the show for 'National Lottery Day'.
Such partnerships are sure to assist Camelot in its efforts to retain the lottery licence when it comes up for renewal in 2009.
All lottery programming will now feature a consistent look across all platforms, with revamped graphics produced by Liquid, new lighting and set design.
The new home for the lottery will be introduced each time with a title sequence taking viewers 'through the doors' of National Lottery HQ, based at Arqiva's offices in Buckinghamshire.
GMTV presenter Jenni Falconer will present the first shows, with other guest presenters to follow in the coming months.
Martyn Fox, Camelot head of broadcast, said: “This exciting new development gives Camelot, as the lottery operator, greater involvement than ever before in the presentation and look of the draws on screen.
“It’s fantastic to have respected partners like Endemol and Arqiva on board as we introduce an original new look for the lottery across TV, on the internet and new platforms such as mobile phones.”
