Sony Radio Academy Awards nominations revealed, Moyles snubbed

The nominations for this year's Sony Radio Academy Awards have been revealed.

Chris Moyles has been snubbed for the first time in seven years, failing to get a single nomination after being up for awards in two categories last year.

Chris Moyles - The Radio 1 DJ and TV presenter turns 38 on Wednesday.

Fearne Cotton has received her first ever nomination for 'Best Music Programme' and will go up against 6 Music's Steve Lamacq and Michael Buble on Magic 105.4.

Christian O'Connell got a nod for his breakfast show, along with Jamie Theakston and Harriet Scott on Heart.

Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood has been nominated for 'Best Specialist Music Programme' for his slot on Absolute Radio. He will go head-to-head with stars such as David Rodigan and Nicky Ross.

Up for the 'Rising Star' award are Luke Franks from Fun Kids DAB, Clara Amfo of Kiss FM, Radio 1's Phil Taggart, Frank McWeeny from French Radio London and Nisha Stevens and Amber Butchart from Jazz FM.
