Producer of Footballers' Wives Shed Productions has added distribution to its operations, with the £2 million purchase of Screentime Partners.
The move means Shed will be able to fully exploit the rights to all of its shows to maximise distribution.
Screentime, which distributes BBC1's Saturday Kitchen, will do the same for all Shed productions, as well as the group's library and formats. The company will also get an additional £1 million from Shed if it meets its financial targets by June 2008.
Shed chief executive officer Eileen Gallagher said: "Not only do we want to maximise distribution opportunities for the group, we are also keen to grow third party business from other producers. We now have the talent and experience in-house to help third party producers fully exploit ancillary rights to their product and maximise on distribution strategy."
In November last year, Shed bought Ricochet, the creators of Supernanny, It’s Me or the Dog and How Not to Decorate for £25 million.
