Live 3D coverage of the key action from Roland Garros in Paris will be shown on Sky 3D later this month, under a collaboration deal between Sky and Eurosport.
Sky 3D will broadcast Eurosport's live 3D feed from Centre Court at Roland Garros from May 28 to June 10. This is the third consecutive year that Eurosport has covered the French Open in 3D, but the first time that the feed has been made available live to UK homes.
"Eurosport was the first broadcaster to present live tennis in 3D with the French Open in 2010 and this agreements with Sky will give the British public an opportunity to experience live Grand Slam tennis in 3D," said Jean Thierry Augustin, Eurosport's managing director of rights acquisition, distribution & development
"Eurosport has already committed to broadcast over 100 hours of 3D content from the London Olympic Games this summer ensuring an even wider variety of sports can also be viewed in this innovative way.
"In January 2012 Eurosport extended its relationship with the French Tennis Federation for a further three years to reinforce its position as the leading live tennis channel in Europe."
Sky 3D is to be opened up to all Sky+ HD homes during the Olympic Games, meaning 4m households can access the dedicated 3D channel as long as they have a 3D-enabled television.
Eurosport will make its 3D coverage of the London 2012 Olympics available to Sky 3D viewers, offering more than 100 hours of action from the Games, including the men's 100m final. Around eight hours of live 3D coverage will be broadcast every day on the channel, alongside four hours of highlights.
Ahead of the Olympics, Sky 3D will carry a raft of 3D sporting action, including the UEFA Champions League Final between Chelsea and Bayern Munich and Rugby's Heineken Cup Final between Ulster and Leinster, both this weekend.
Soccer AM will be aired in 3D for the first time this coming Saturday, while the following weekend (May 26/27) will feature live 3D coverage of the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final, in partnership with ESPN, as well as England vs Barbarians from Twickenham and live boxing, with Carl Froch's IBF world super-middleweight title bout.
"We're delighted to be partnering with Eurosport and bringing our customers live action from the French Open, as well as the first 3D Olympics this summer," said John Cassy, the director of Sky 3D.
"By working with channel partners and continuing to invest heavily in our own 3D sports coverage, we're able to offer our customers a fantastic array of sport in 3D this summer, with football, rugby, cricket and tennis all available in immersive 3D over the next few months. Thanks to our ongoing commitment to 3D, Sky 3D customers can look forward to a monumental summer of sport."
Other Sky 3D highlights during the summer include One Day International Cricket between England and Australia, Rugby Super League and the return of the Premier League.
