Chris Moyles, Noel Edmonds, more: Radio 1 breakfast show hosts through the years

By
Chris Moyles has this morning announced that he is stepping down as host of BBC Radio 1's breakfast show this September.

Moyles will be taking to the road this autumn after eight years in the breakfast show slot, in order to play King Herod in Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's new production of Jesus Christ Superstar. During his time in the DJ chair, he's broken world records, attracted his fair share of controversy and interviewed countless celebrity guests.

Moyles's successor Nick Grimshaw will soon follow in the footsteps of broadcasters including Noel Edmonds, Dave Lee Travis, Zoe Ball and Sara Cox as he takes on the challenge of presenting the station's flagship daytime show.
