Welsh independent producer Tinopolis has reported profits before tax of £1.06 million, an increase of 23% for the year to the end of September.
The company's adjusted pre-tax profits reach £1.35 million, which excludes the cost of restructuring and its sale of Hawk-Eye Innovations to John Wisden & Co for £4 million in July.
It also disposed of its 65% share in loss-making entertainment start-up Splash back to founders Fenia Vardanis and Jane Lush, a former BBC controller of entertainment commissioning.
Ron Jones, Tinopolis executive chairman, said: "The results of integration feed through this year, putting us in an excellent position to take advantage of the opportunities in our dynamic market."
The company's turnover also rose to £47.3 million, an increase of £10.4 million. This follows its acquisition of the Television Corporation, the owner of sports producer Sunset + Vine and drama and factual business Mentorn, in January.
Tinopolis expects to make around 2,700 hours of TV this year through its subsidiaries.
"With the acquisition of the Television Corp in January this year Tinopolis has become one of the largest companies in the UK television production industry. This strategic acquisition gives us the scale and resources to compete strongly in a fast-changing market," added Jones.
Last week the company launched a drama division, Daybreak Pictures, to be headed up by Mentorn’s head of drama David Aukin and executive producer Hal Vogel.
