Regulator to investigate use of Saddam footage

Broadcasting regulator Ofcom says it is to look into viewers complaints regarding UK broadcaster's use of video showing Saddam Hussein being taunted on the gallows.
30 complaints have been lodge to date regarding the unofficial footage of the former Iraqi leader's execution, which was filmed on a mobile phone.
Al-Jazeera was the first to screen the images, with the BBC, Sky News and ITN following suit. All have defended broadcasting the images, which were edited in different ways on each network, with no broadcaster showing the moment Saddam was actually killed.
11 complaints were lodge against BBC One's coverage, 8 against BBC News 24 and four against Sky News. The remainder consisted of complaints against BBC Two, Channel 4 News, Classic FM, Fox News and ITV1.
Yesterday, it was reported that the witness who had filmed the mobile phone footage had been arrested.
