Clive Warren is to join Manchester station, 105.4 Century FM, in an overhaul of its line-up.
A Radio 1 DJ for six years until 2000, Warren will host the drivetime show, replacing Tony Wrighton from Monday.
Former Xfm Manchester presenter Adam Cole will also present a new-look breakfast show, replacing Darren Proctor. He will co-host with Paul Salt and new signing Sarah Graham.
Pat Sharp, who presented the station's evening show, was dropped by Century last month in a bid to move towards "more local output."
This was less than two months after Guardian Media Group brought the station, along with its sister station in Gateshead, from GCap Media for £60 million in October.
