Orange signs up for ITN news service

Orange has agreed a deal with ITN to deliver a video news bulletin service for its home broadband and Orange World mobile customers.

ITN On, ITN's multimedia news service, will deliver the service as text, stills and video bulletins updated frequently throughout the day to the Orange web site as well as Orange mobiles.

Nicholas Wheeler, managing director of ITN On, said: ”We are excited about delivering a content and video hosting solution to Orange who required a flexible and innovative approach from its supplier."

Orange currently attracts 5 million visitors per month to its homepage, and has 2 million home internet customers and over 15 million mobile customers.

Eric Abensur, vice president of Broadband for Orange, said: “Our customers want up to the minute news on the issues that matter to them wherever they are. We’re now giving them exactly that, whether they are at home or on the move they can keep up to date through Orange.”
