British actor Danny Dyer returns with a second series looking at the inner workings of the game in Real Football Factories International. The series has been extended to eight 1-hour documentaries, which see Dyer travel across Europe and South America. The show is produced by independent production company Zig Zag.
The channel has also greenlit two 90-minute football specials from Manchester-based Zig Zag North.
Football: The Glory Years focuses on football’s celebratory days of the 1970s and 80s, looking at archive footage and making contrasts with today’s game.
Supported by an online marketing campaign, Britain’s Greatest Football Managers will examine the nation’s most successful, stylish, best-loved, and most notorious football managers, as voted for by the public.
Celia Taylor, Bravo’s director of programmes, said: “These commissions represent the two faces of football. The darker, scary, adrenalin fuelled world of hooliganism and the celebratory love of football and its best known characters. Either way I’m excited about bringing more top notch football programming to the Bravo audience again this year.”
