UKTV's Clinton-Davis heads to ITV

Jo Clinton-Davis is to join ITV as controller of popular factual at ITV.
She will be responsible for developing and commissioning ITV’s broad slate of popular factual programming, and will report to Alison Sharman, ITV’s director of factual and daytime programming.
Sharman said: “Jo brings to ITV an enviable breadth and depth in factual programming commissioning and production. I am delighted that she is joining the small and now perfectly-formed ITV Factual team and am hugely looking forward to working with her to create a range of exciting and ambitious content for the schedule.”
Clinton-Davis has been UKTV's head of commissioning since 2005, and was responsible for green-lighting shows like Wogan Now & Then, Jim`ll Fix It Strikes Again, The Clothes Show, Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses, Sex Love and War and Optomen TV`s new daily food programme Market Kitchen.
Clinton-Davis said: “It goes without saying I shall miss UKTV and the talented team there but could not possibly miss this opportunity at ITV Factual”.
Before UTKV, she at the BBC for five years becoming head of independent factual commissioning, with shows like Grumpy Old Men/Women and Restoration to her name.
Prior to that she was series producer and director of BBC's award winning Making Babies series and The Shop, a fly-on-the-wall programme about department store Selfridges.
She has directed programmes for BBC One and Two for 40 Minutes, Inside Story and Rough Justice having started out on live features and current affairs including Newsnight.
