Edinburgh TV festival appoints new director

Amy joins the annual August festival with nine years experience in the TV industry, gained in the role of head of membership and events at Bafta. There, she increased membership by 65% in four years and doubled the number of annual events.
She joins directly from Deloitte Consulting where she has been working as a Senior Consultant in the highly respected media practice.
Endemol UK chief creative officer and MGEITF executive chair Tim Hincks said: "Amy’s combination of industry knowledge and experience, alongside her event management skills make her perfect for the role. I’m confident she will build on the TV Festival's success and drive it forward as the 'must attend' media event of the year."
Amy Brown added: "I am delighted to be working with the Advisory and Executive Committees to build upon the success of the Edinburgh International Television Festival and its charitable activities. I have always enjoyed attending the festival in the past, and I am looking forward to the challenge of making it happen."
